The rules of using MetaSkillGroup

Every applicant applies on metaskillgroup.com. Our team reviews each application and may send an onboarding guide or schedule a short call; the entrance exam is unlocked only after the application is approved. Once your exam is unlocked you must start it within 72 hours — if you do not, the exam window closes and your application is disqualified. Your first attempt is free. The Unpaid Internship — a complete programme at no cost, on intermediate-level projects — is available whatever you score. The Mentored Internship is an optional paid upgrade, offered on your result page at 50% and above; it adds advanced, full-scale projects, 1:1 mentoring and detailed code review. Scoring 75% or above unlocks the Paid Internship, which includes everything in the Mentored Internship at no cost, plus a stipend. Below 50%, your result page offers the Unpaid Internship or a retake (see 3.3). An intern on the Unpaid Internship can still move to the Mentored Internship later, from their dashboard (see 3.8).

Every track — Paid Internship, Mentored Internship, and Unpaid Internship — runs for 3 months from the date you begin. The same duration applies on every track. Two things can change your end date: an upgrade from the Unpaid Internship, when you choose whether to keep your current end date or to start a fresh 3 months from the day you upgrade (see 3.8); and an extension by our team, which we confirm to you by email with the new end date.

Your second attempt becomes available free of charge 15 days after your first, with no deadline on taking it. If you do not want to wait, you may pay a flat fee to start immediately. That fee buys only the time — never the attempt itself:

There is no cap on how many times you may retake the exam, and the fee does not increase with the number of attempts — it is ₹99 every time, or nothing at all if you wait out the waiting period. The waiting period before your next attempt is always shown on your result page before you choose. The amount, if any, is always displayed before payment, and is non-refundable once paid.

Interns are expected to attend scheduled sessions — the weekly team review on every track, and the weekly 1:1 mentoring session on the Mentored Internship and Paid Internship. If a participant misses or cancels more than 2 meetings, MetaSkillGroup reserves the right to remove them from the programme. A warning will be sent after the first missed meeting. Removal under this clause applies across all tracks, and no refund will be issued for any Mentored Internship fee already paid.

An intern on the Unpaid Internship can move to the Mentored Internship from their dashboard at any time while their internship is active, whatever they scored in the exam. The fee is ₹749, paid online through Razorpay, and is non-refundable (see 3.6). When upgrading, you choose either to keep your current end date or to start a fresh 3 months from the day you pay. The Mentored Internship benefits start as soon as the payment is confirmed. Work you created before upgrading stays under the terms of the track you were on when you made it.

Our team assigns every task. As a guide, over the 3 months an intern on the Unpaid Internship usually takes on up to 1 project, 5 components and 2 templates, and an intern on the Mentored Internship or Paid Internship up to 2 projects, 10 components, 5 templates and 5 blogs. These numbers are a guide, not a promise: the team may assign more or fewer depending on your progress and the work available. Blogs are part of the Mentored Internship and Paid Internship. Some tasks are optional growth tasks — for example, following our LinkedIn or Instagram page, or writing a post about your internship. They are always optional: skipping one never affects your track, the review of your work, your certificate or your verification page, and they are not listed on your verified work profile.

Interns on the Mentored Internship and Paid Internship can read our skill notes — PDF and handwritten — on the platform, during the internship and after completing it. Notes are read-only: they cannot be downloaded or copied, and every page shows the reader's name as a watermark. We keep a record of which notes each intern opens. Sharing notes outside the platform in any form, including screenshots or recordings, is not allowed.

While their internship is active, interns on the Mentored Internship and Paid Internship can download everything in our marketplace — source code, project reports, SRS documents and other files — at no cost. This is for your own personal use and learning only: you may not sell, share, upload or pass on anything downloaded this way. Every download is recorded against your account. The access stops automatically when the internship ends for any reason — completion, expiry, removal or suspension — and after that, marketplace items are bought like anyone else.

Our team may add you to group chats on your dashboard. In a group, other members see only your name and profile photo — never your email address or phone number. Members can read a group, but can reply only when the team turns replies on. If you're on the Unpaid Internship, you may also see a preview of the job & internship postings we share with interns on the Mentored Internship and Paid Internship — the role, pay, location and type of company. The company name, full details and apply link are only for interns on those tracks. Asking other members for their contact details, or using messages to harass anyone, is not allowed and may lead to removal from the group or the programme.

Interns on the Mentored Internship and Paid Internship receive a signed Letter of Recommendation (LOR) as a PDF with their certificate when they complete the programme. Our team writes it about your own work on the programme — what you built, the technologies you used and how you worked — and it can be checked on your certificate's verification page. It is not issued if the programme is not completed, and revoking a certificate also revokes its letter. The Unpaid Internship does not include a letter.

An intern on the Unpaid Internship receives a certificate only if the average rating our review team gives their task work is 3.0 out of 5 or above. Below 3.0, or without a rated task, no certificate is issued, even when the internship is marked complete. Certificates on the Mentored Internship and Paid Internship do not depend on this rating.
